Allison (Tiffany) grew up in a family where she was encouraged to follow her dreams. She did just that but in a different way than her mother and father. Tiffany graduated from UCLA with a degree in Creative Writing and then, after traveling the world for a few years, decided to return to school to gain more education in the medical field. She was accepted into Cornell Medical School with a full scholarship. Her parents were surprised and delighted with her decision. Unfortunately, she ended up losing her scholarship and had to return home to pursue other opportunities for a career. Even though it was hard, Tiffany stayed focused and continued to chase her dreams of becoming a doctor. Finally, after six long years of hard work, she was accepted into medical school. Tiffany had one more requirement and that was to have a mentor. She found one in the person of another talented writer by the name of Steve Rice. The two became great friends and even though they continued to see each other throughout medical school, they never had the time or the energy to date. They remained good friends even after Tiffany graduated and began her residency in the pediatric ICU.
One day, Steve realized that he wanted more than just a marriage. He wanted to start a family. Tiffany agreed to him but admitted that she wanted to wait until they had been married for at least a year. This was okay with Steve. He was overjoyed that he had found his soul mate. At the end of the year, the two decided to move in together. This was the happiest year of Tiffany's life. It was also the year that she really began to feel the pressures that come with being a doctor.
As a young girl she watched her mother struggle to bring up a daughter who was nothing like the picture-perfect mother she always wanted. Allison initially tried to be the perfect daughter like her mother wanted, but she found that wasn’t an easy thing to do. And when Allison was growing up she found herself to be a different person. She didn’t enjoy her childhood. In fact, she didn’t really enjoy any of her teenage years. Things only got worse as she got older and she started to lose her mind. 827ec27edc
